If it is true that 'that which shows an image of an angel becomes an angel itself' (or something to that effect), why did the CCTV recording only start turning into an angel when Amy was there? I understand that the angel was dormant, but if that meant it couldn't become an angel, the book wasn't wholly accurate. Additionally, an angel didn't materialise, rather it started to come out of the TV. So, to be more accurate, 'that which depicts an angel can be used as a portal for the angel if it so inclined'.

And, well. This obviously all changes after yesterday. The image in Amy's head will turn into an angel, but not once the angels have gone - after The Doctor turned off the gravity and got rid of them all, the image in Amy's head had no effect. Also, I don't remember Ten ever telling Sally Sparrow not to look the angels in the eyes, so I don't see why her memories haven't turned into angels. Finally, near the end, River asked the Doctor to translate something for her:"...and for those that don't read the base code of the universe?" Was that not the same language which she used when graffitiing "hello sweetie" in the previous episode?

Thank You, Twilight.

My nine year old brother is a Twilight fan. How incredibly boring! Bracewell looked a bit like my old music teacher though. Those new Daleks were so obviously plastic, and they don't seem at all scary any more. I say the reason they keep coming back is that no writer wants to be the one to completely destroy them, but I think they might officially be ruined now anyway: a bright orange plastic Dalek doesn't really seem very effective to me. Everyone says Lib Dems came off best, but according to the poll on The Drum, a lot of people think Gordon Brown gave the best performance. That poll is constantly changing, however, so there may be an all-round 'victory' for Nick Clegg. I do believe that, even without taking into consideration my own views on which party's policies are the most suited to the UK, the Liberal Democrats are always going to get out of any public situation like last night's in a much more positive light than either Labour or the Tories, simply because they haven't had power in recent years; haven't recently made the many mistakes both Labour and the Conservatives have made; haven't disappointed people and broken promises. Regardless, it is common knowledge that Nick Clegg won't become PM, because Lib Dems won't get enough votes. I imagine there are a lot of people who vote Labour just to prevent a Conservative victory...If everyone who actually felt that the Lib Dem policies were the best voted Lib Dem, rather than just playing it safe and ensuring 'the lesser of two evils' through voting Labour, there may be a chance of a Lib Dem majority, and then we would see how brilliant Nick Clegg is. But what do I know, I'm "too young" to understand.

Eye Mask.

For my birthday, a friend gave me one of those eye mask things which you wear at night to theoretically help you sleep. She cannot be the only Jehovah's Witness who might ever find themselves in this situation, and I wish to offer a solution. Dialysis would have been acceptable, because nobody else's blood would have entered the woman's body. Therefore, if Jehovah's Witnesses (and followers of any other religion with similar principles, if they exist) regularly remove some of their own blood - like when you are a blood donor - and store it somewhere, if the time arises when they need a blood transfusion and dialysis is not available, they can have the blood transfusion - but using their own blood, so it doesn't break the rules of their faith. And if (and of course one would hope this would be the case) the people who do this die without using any/all of their stored blood, it can be put in a generic blood bank for the use of those people who are not against using the blood of others in times of need.

The Beast Below.

My problems with yesterday's episode of Doctor Who: when Amy goes into the election booth thingy, she is told that her marital status is unknown. I understand that this makes it more interesting if we don't know whether or not she got married, and I think I can understand how it managed to happen: she simply hasn't lived that part of her life yet. But if that were the case, why was her age 1306? That would mean she had lived for 1306 years...But not including the year - or perhaps just the day - where she got married. I guess we just have to assume that the computers on Starship UK weren't very clever and simply found her D.O.B. on file somewhere and tried to work out her age from that. And maybe it found a Facebook page which said "Relationship status: It's complicated."
Additionally, the end of the episode is seen as the resolution - the people and the Star Whale are saved, so all's well that ends well. But what will the whale do in the future for nourishment? If Liz X is now going to stop her subjects being fed to it, how does it survive? Clearly the veg it was being given wasn't enough because they had to feed it people as well...
